Due to the Governor’s recent declaration, Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission will require face coverings to be worn by everyone participating or attending events. The only exceptions are for participants that are participating in physical activity, solitary activity, eating or drinking, children 2 and under, or have a medical or religious exemption.
All current complex rules remain in effect.
Hygiene Practices: Wash hands with soap and water. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Proper hand washing technique signage should be posted in restrooms and at all hand washing stations. Everyone is encouraged to practice good hygiene and follow the CDC guidelines. This should include no spitting, licking fingers, etc.
Facilities: Commonly used surfaces such as doors, handrails, etc. will be disinfected regularly. Bathrooms will be cleaned on a regular basis.
Entrance/Exit Procedures: Follow designated entrance and exit pathways to allow for social distancing.
Concessions will be available with pre-packaged options.
Water Bottles: Players, coaches and umpires/officials should bring their own water bottles to all team activities. Water fountains used only to fill water bottles.
Officials: When feasible, umpires/officials shall wear appropriate PPE during the game. When possible officials should maintain physical distance.
Spectators are encouraged to bring personal chairs.
